Animoca Brands and Blowfish Studios launch Phantom Galaxies governance and utility token ASTRAFER
14 July 2022 -- Animoca Brands and its subsidiary Blowfish Studios announced today that the Astrafer token (ASTRAFER), the official governance and utility token for the AAA open-world mech combat game Phantom Galaxies, has launched on QuickSwap paired with Ether (ETH), USD Coin (USDC), and with the Animoca Brands tokens SAND, REVV, TOWER, GMEE, and PROS.
The Astrafer token is an essential part of Phantom Galaxies, providing governance functions as well as in-game utility. Additionally, players will be able to use Astrafer tokens to buy and mint NFTs of Phantom Galaxies, beginning with the upcoming “Thermopylae” Poster 3 NFT. Poster NFTs allow players to redeem special limited-edition Avatars and Generative Starfighters, which are powerful mech vehicles used to play Phantom Galaxies. Phantom Galaxies is an open-world mech combat game currently in public Alpha release. As one of the first blockchain-based game titles with AAA scope and quality, Phantom Galaxies is attracting both traditional gaming enthusiasts as well as Web3 natives. Three of the four episodes of the Alpha version are available now, and the fourth episode will be available in late July 2022.
Upcoming “Astrafite Rush” play-and-earn event
Phantom Galaxies players will be able to earn Astrafer tokens by participating in the “Astrafite Rush'' in-game event, which is scheduled to be released with Episode 4 of the game’s Alpha version in late July 2022. Holders of Planet Genesis Mintpass NFTs, which represent future Planets and Asteroids in the Phantom Galaxies universe when the game launches, will be able to earn additional Astrafer tokens during the event.
The total reward pool for the Astrafite Rush event will start at 2,664,234 ASTRAFER, and can grow up to 4,440,389 ASTRAFER over the course of the event, depending on the progress of all players contributing to various community objectives.
