Yat Siu
Co-founder, executive chairman, and managing director
Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, a global leader in blockchain and gaming dedicated to establishing digital property rights for virtual assets. A veteran technology entrepreneur and investor, Yat began his career at Atari Germany before founding Hong Kong Cybercity/Freenation, Asia’s first free web page and email provider. In 1998, he created Outblaze, an award-winning pioneer of multilingual white-label web services. After selling a business unit to IBM, he transformed Outblaze into an incubator for digital entertainment projects, one of which became Animoca Brands. Yat has been recognized as a World Economic Forum Global Leader of Tomorrow, DHL/SCMP Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and one of Cointelegraph’s Top 100 Notable People in Blockchain, and is also an official member of the Task Force on Promoting Web3 Development by HKSAR. He also serves on the BAFTA advisory board and the Asian Youth Orchestra.

Evan Auyang
Group president
Mr. Evan Auyang is the Group President of Animoca Brands, a global digital asset leader that harnesses tokenization and AI to power consumer-facing and institutional ventures, while curating an investment portfolio of more than 600 companies.
Mr. Auyang is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of two listed companies: Sun Hung Kai & Co. Ltd. and Asia Financial Holdings Limited. He also serves as a Board Director of Innovation City Authority of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. He chairs public policy think tank Civic Exchange and serves on the board of Voyage, a poverty and youth-focused nonprofit. He also holds advisory roles at Our Hong Kong Foundation, HKTDC’s Innovation and Technology Advisory Committee, the Web3 Development Task Force’s Subcommittee on Ecosystem and Infrastructure, the Hong Kong Council of Social Service’s Development Fund Committee, and Brown University’s Institute at Brown for Environment and Society.
Prior to joining Animoca Brands, Mr Auyang was the Managing Director and Head of GLG International (Gerson Lehrman Group), leading business growth across 15 EMEA and APAC locations for the expert insight platform. Previously, he served as Deputy Managing Director of the Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. and a board director of its parent, Transport International Holdings Limited. Earlier, he was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company and worked in Citigroup’s Derivatives Structuring and Marketing unit.
He obtained his undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science from Brown University and his MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management.


Minh Do
Chief operating officer
Minh Do is the Chief Operating Officer at Animoca Brands. Animoca Brands' mission is to bring digital property rights to the world through an open, decentralized network of systems and environments connected by the core concepts of ownership, interoperability and community governance. As COO, Minh is responsible for building the global organisation that supports Animoca Brands' strategy to innovate, explore and build the underlying infrastructure for Web3.
Before joining Animoca Brands Minh led the Greater China businesses at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), a global information services and consulting company headquartered in New York City. He sat on the global operating leadership team responsible for GLG's APAC technology strategy and was a core member of GLG's APAC leadership, helping the company drive business expansion in China, India, Australia, and across South East Asia. Minh was also responsible for GLG's APAC technology practice and led the company's China risk management committee. Minh started his career at Linklaters LLP and is a dual qualified attorney (Hong Kong and New York). He is also a multi-time entrepreneur and active angel investor in the technology and real estate space.



Alan Lau
Chief business officer
Alan Lau is the chief business officer of Animoca Brands, a leading blockchain and technology company with a broad portfolio of investments in gaming, infrastructure, AI, and DeFi. In addition to developing and investing in Web3 ecosystem projects, Animoca Brands also tokenises virtual and real-world assets to mass-onboard users to Web3. In his role, Mr Lau oversees the massive portfolio of Animoca Brands, which consists of over 600 Web3 projects and companies. He also leads the Company's M&A activities and its partnerships with some of the world's largest brands.
Before joining Animoca Brands, Mr Lau was the CEO of Tencent WeSure, one of China's top three FinTech insurance businesses. Backed by Tencent, Fubon Insurance, and Boyu Capital, WeSure works with insurance and technology companies to develop affordable protection products for WeChat users. Mr Lau founded WeSure in 2016 and grew the startup to a 500-strong team over four years. WeSure was established as an AI-first company that uses analytics to manage everything from risk assessment and marketing to customer support. WeSure has been named the #1 InsurTech company in multiple industry rankings, including China's Hurun and UK's InsurancePost. To-date, WeSure serves over 100 million users.
Prior to WeSure, Mr Lau was a senior partner at McKinsey & Co, where he was part of the team that established the firm's Asia Corporate Finance Division in the late 1990s. He was later promoted to Asia Pacific head for McKinsey Digital, leading digital transformations and projects in AI, big data, digital marketing, and user experience design.Besides his full-time role at Animoca Brands, Mr Lau currently serves on the board of US-listed Tapestry (NYSE: TPR), a US$20 billion fashion brand that owns Coach and Kate Spade. In addition to sitting on the audit committee and technology board, he is the main advisor on China, digitalization, and Gen Z trends. He is also a founding board member of the AI Association of Hong Kong, which promotes AI adoption and policies across retail, finance, and industrial sectors. He advises both Oxford University and the University of Hong Kong on AI, ethics, and creativity. He also served on the Hong Kong Insurance Authority's Industry Advisory Committee, where he advised on topics including Greater Bay Area opportunities and digital insurance.
Outside of his work in technology, Mr Lau contributes actively to arts development. He is vice-chair of M+, a visual arts and culture museum in Hong Kong. He also co-chairs the Asia Pacific Acquisition Committee of Tate and the Asia Art Circle of Guggenheim, helping these two institutions build a global art collection. He previously served the Hong Kong Government by sitting on LCSD's Museum Advisory Committee. Alan graduated from Oxford University with an MSc in Engineering in 1997.



Jamii Quoc
General counsel
Jamii Quoc is the General Counsel and an Executive Committee member of Animoca Brands.Jamii joined Animoca Brands in 2022. Since then, she has built a robust legal and compliance team in Animoca Brands and led initiatives to enhance organisational excellence.
Additionally, Jamii actively participates in shaping the Web3 regulatory ecosystem in Hong Kong, serving as a member of the Hong Kong Government's Web3 Regulatory Sub-Task Force, a member of the Regulatory Committee of the World Economic Forum, and a member of the Web3 Harbour and other trade associations, all of which collaborate with regulators to establish mainstream Web3 regulations.Jamii has over 25 years of legal experience as a lawyer in both private practice and in-house settings. Prior to joining Animoca Brands, she was the General Counsel at Meridian Capital, leading the legal team on M&A and capital raising transactions, securities compliance, dispute resolution, and restructuring. Before her tenure at Meridian Capital, Jamii was a Partner in the M&A practice at Kirkland & Ellis, where she represented private equity firms, major corporations, and investment banks on a broad range of M&A matters, including public takeovers and private M&A, joint ventures, private equity transactions, and distressed M&A transactions.



Jared Shaw
Chief financial officer
Jared Shaw brings over 20 years of experience across the traditional finance, fintech, and cryptocurrency sectors. As CFO, Jared oversees and supports the strategic financial direction of Animoca Brands and its more than 600 portfolio companies. Most recently, Jared was the head of finance at Gemini, a leading cryptocurrency and NFT platform. Prior to Gemini, Jared was a financial services and fintech consultant at Ernst & Young, where he was one of the founding members of EY's fintech consulting division. He also worked at Goldman Sachs in fixed income portfolio management and at Prudential Financial as an internal auditor. Jared is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds an MBA from New York University and an undergraduate degree in physics from Boston University



Robby Yung
CEO of investments
Robby Yung, Animoca Brands' CEO of Investments, partner at Animoca Capital, a global leader in blockchain and gaming with the goal to provide digital property rights for virtual assets.Robby has been in gaming since 2012 and blockchain gaming since 2018. He served as the first CEO of Animoca Brands after taking the group public in 2015. Prior to that, he co-founded magazine publisher, One Media Group, which he listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He also founded Chinese television and outdoor media concern, Redgate Media Group, which was acquired by Inno-Tech Holdings. He began his career in technology, building wireless telecom networks in China and Indonesia with Metromedia.

Chris Whiteman
Non-executive director
Mr Whiteman is an executive with over twenty years of experience in commercial management, finance, and strategic advisory roles across various industries including gaming and app development, energy and resources, and investment management. Mr Whiteman has a degree in Economics from the University of Adelaide, a graduate diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA, and CFA Level 1 designation from the CFA Institute. He is well versed in international affairs and has extensive experience in the culture and business dealings of Asia. Mr Whiteman has specific expertise in equity markets and deal structuring including advising on IPOs and other capital raisings, investor and public relations, and strategic planning for both public and private entities in Australia, China, Mongolia, and the United Kingdom.
Mr Whiteman is a non-executive director of iCandy Interactive Limited, a game development company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.

John Madden
Non-executive director and company secretary
Mr Madden has considerable experience leading work programmes on compliance, due diligence, governance and finance. Mr Madden worked at Rio Tinto for 24 years in various disciplines including accounting (annual reporting and accounting policies), acquisitions, business analysis, community and government relations, planning, project feasibility, project construction/development, and taxation. After his tenure at Rio Tinto, Mr Madden has worked primarily with small market capitalization companies, and has listed a number of entities on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) as well as the London Stock Exchange.
