CryptoKitties launches Artist Series featuring Momo Wang in partnership with Animoca Brands
15 May 2020: Animoca Brands announces that its partner Dapper Labs Inc. has launched the CryptoKitties Artist Series with four epic CryptoKitties designed by Momo Wang, a multiple award-winning and internationally recognized illustrator based in Beijing.
CryptoKitties is one of the first and largest games on the Ethereum network, and offers digital cat cryptocollectibles secured via blockchain technology. Animoca Brands has been a key partner of CryptoKitties since January 2018, and brokered the collaboration between CryptoKitties and Momo Wang.
Momo Wang is the creator of the highly popular Tuzki character, a black and white line drawing of a bunny that is one of the most recognized characters in China and used widely across various instant messaging platforms.

The Momo Wang collection features four avant-garde cats inspired by DADA ballet costumes that each possess an authentic take on the genetic makeup of a CryptoKitty. Two of these Kitties will be reserved for upcoming Fancy Chases and two Kitties will be sold on Nifty Gateway.
Momo’s first CryptoKitty, Catterina, is a Special Edition in a limited run of 100 priced at US$100. Catterina is exclusively available on Nifty Gateway, the platform for collectors and artists that allows the exhibition and trading of rare artworks. Once all 100 Kitties sell out, CryptoKitties will unveil an auction for the Exclusive 1 of 1 edition.
Half of all proceeds from the Catterina sale will go to Feeding America and Food Banks Canada to help hungry communities impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
