Response to ASIC media release of 30 June 2022
SYDNEY - 30 June 2022: Animoca Brands Corporation Limited (“Animoca Brands” or the “Company”) wishes to inform its shareholders that the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (“ASIC”) today issued a media release in relation to the delays in the Company’s lodging of financial reporting documents. The Company wishes to clarify that it was unaware of the proceedings described in ASIC’s media release. The Company is working with its legal counsel, King & Wood Mallesons, to help resolve the matter. The Company is also investigating the circumstances that have resulted in this situation and will work productively with ASIC to ensure that Animoca Brands’ shareholders are protected.
The Company continues to work with its auditors to finalise its outstanding financial reports as soon as possible, and will update its shareholders of further notable developments.
