Animoca Brands (ASX: AB1) was selected as the host studio for Mobile Gaming Forum (MGF) Asia, held in Hong Kong on April 8-9, 2015. This is the first time the world-renowned event is being held in Asia. See http://www.globalmgf.com/asia/

As host partner, Animoca Brands will be promoted heavily at the event. Animoca Brands CEO Robby Yung will also participate in panels about mobile game localization and global user acquisition strategies.

The event will expose Animoca Brands to mobile gaming’s elite. Up to 60 per cent of attendees at the last MGF London were C-suite mobile gaming executives.

The host partnership will position Animoca as a key player in Asia’s booming mobile gaming market. Research firm Newzoo estimates that Asia-Pacific accounted for 82% of global game revenue growth in 2014. MGF estimates that Asia-Pacific has almost three times more paying gamers than the US.

According to a 2014 BI Intelligence report, mobile games account for the largest single share of time (32%) that users spend on all mobile apps. As a result of this high level of engagement, gaming is one of the major drivers of mobile commerce.
