Animoca Brands and crypto communities donate over HK$2.6 million for Hong Kong’s Tai Po fire relief
3 December 2025 - Animoca Brands today announced the conclusion of its charity initiative in support of relief and recovery efforts for those affected by the fire in Tai Po, Hong Kong (see announcement of 27 November 2025). A total of HK$2,602,516.64 was raised and donated to the Hong Kong Red Cross Tai Po Fire Emergency Appeal through this initiative.
Of the total donated, around 33% (HK$869,067.7) was contributed by members of global crypto communities. The remaining amount, totaling HK$1,733,448.94, was donated by Animoca Brands, its staff, its co-founder and executive chairman Yat Siu, various subsidiaries and projects (including Open Campus, Anichess, The Sandbox, Tower Ecosystem, and others), as well as close partners such as Moca Foundation.
