Lympo one-of-the-kind NFTs auction: new way to engage fans merging physical and digital worlds

23 August 2021 -- Tallinn, Estonia -- Lympo, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, is pleased to announce that it will host its first-ever auction of officially licensed athletes’ unique non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the recently launched Binance NFT marketplace and OpenSea starting August 30, 2021. Lympo NFTs are normally obtainable only by minting them on Lympo’s NFT platform. Every athlete collection includes common to legendary NFTs and one unique GOAT NFT which can only be bought at an auction. Auction winners will receive these Lympo GOAT NFTs plus a long list of exclusive real-world perks associated with the NFTs. These additional benefits range from social media shoutouts, birthday greetings and autographed items to exclusive gifts and yearly special treats: autographed gloves of the MMA champion Rose Namajunas worn to win the UFC champion title; free cash game and personal poker masterclass with legendary poker player Tony G, including a visit in the Tony Resort; VIP tickets and a possibility to meet the strongest man on earth Eddie Hall at the Giants Live show; tickets to a football game to see and greet the Paris-Saint-Germain star Colin Dagba in person; and many more.


Some of the perks attached to Lympo GOAT NFTs can be claimed once a year for a number of years (depending on applicable conditions). In addition, the Lympo GOAT NFTs will also play a powerful role in Lympo’s NFT ecosystem: staking these NFTs will grant the highest number of reward tokens in the upcoming Lympo NFT staking events. The final auction sale price of a particular Lympo GOAT NFT will modify the rewards earned when staking that NFT, up to an additional 50% increase to rewards on top of that. 


Lympo will auction Lympo GOAT NFTs of 13 athletes from all around the world and different disciplines: Eddie Hall (strongman, UK), Rose Namajunas (mixed martial artist, US), Tony G (poker, Australia, Lithuania), Colin Dagba (soccer, France), Dariya Klishina (long jumper, Russia), Anthony Pettis (mixed martial artist, USA), Samuel Maxwell (boxer, UK), Zydrunas Savickas (strongman, Lithuania), Moussa Diaby (soccer, France), Alexandra Trusova (figure skater, Russia), Rhianon Lovelace (powerlifter, UK), Anissa Meksen (kickboxer, France), Sergej Maslobojev (kickboxer, Lithuania). In total, these athletes have 17 million followers on social media, whom they plan to engage in this exceptional opportunity for sports fans worldwide.


Earlier this year, Lympo announced a partnership with Binance NFT, and this auction is the first step of this collaboration. Auction participants will be able to purchase Lympo GOAT NFTs using BNB tokens on the Binance NFT marketplace and using LMT tokens on OpenSea.
