The Sandbox partners with the Original Stormtroopers to launch authentic new avatar collection and metaverse experience

Avatars are playable in a new boot camp experience where they will pass through challenging training phases to earn the honor of wearing the Stormtrooper helmet

23 October 2023 - The Sandbox, the leading decentralized virtual world and a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, today announced a partnership with one of the most iconic entertainment characters of pop culture: Shepperton Design Studios’ Original Stormtrooper. This activation brings the sci-fi icon into the metaverse for the very first time, allowing Stormtrooper fans to experience Stormtroopers in new ways.


In the experience, players find themselves in the Stormtrooper Basecamp, reporting for duty at boot camp. As a newly recruited Stormtrooper, untrained but eager in the ways of soldiering, players will complete training phases to earn the honor of wearing a Stormtrooper helmet –all overseen by the notorious drill instructor who inevitably sees them as unworthy. Players will complete spy training, avoid bombs falling from the sky, practice how to miss targets with their gun, and more.
