“Turbine Fighter” wins at

Asia Smart App Award

Animoca Brands’ robot combat mobile game honoured with top awards

HONG KONG (30 June 2017) --  Animoca Brands (ASX: AB1) won the Bronze Award in the Game & Entertainment category at the Asia Smart App Award 2017 for the robot combat mobile game Turbine Fighter. The pan-Asian award scheme honours the best mobile apps from across the region.

Asia Smart App Award is an internationally recognized professional awards scheme for mobile software and solutions. Organized by the Wireless Technology Industry Association, the competition recognizes the best mobile apps from 13 countries and regions (including Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Israel, Hong Kong, and others).

Turbine Fighter was recognized with the Bronze award in the Game & Entertainment category. Turbine Fighter lets players design and battle futuristic toy robots in a glossy anime-inspired game. Players create, tweak and tune robotic champions to compete in the mech arena, or navigate challenging race tracks. In addition to the intrigue-rich single player campaign, the game also has Player-versus-Player modes and multiplayer tournaments.

The Asia Smart App Award winners were announced at an awards presentation ceremony held on 29 June at Ocean View Court, located at the Cyberport, the flagship hub of Hong Kong’s digital tech industry and home to hundreds of technology companies.

This is the third award for Turbine Fighter, following the best-in-class Digital Entertainment Gold Award and Grand Award that the game won at the Hong Kong ICT Awards in April 2017.
