Lympo launches 72-hours LMT token offering on 19 March 2021
18 March 2021 -- Tallinn, Estonia -- Lympo, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, is pleased to advise that it will launch LMT, a new utility token to empower Lympo’s ecosystem of sports-related non-fungible tokens (NFTs), including collectibles based on world-famous athletes. Starting 6 pm (UTC) on 19 March 2021, LMT tokens will be obtainable in exchange for LYM tokens for 72 hours only.
LMT offering to last 72 hours starting 19 March 2021
LMT is a new token to be developed by Lympo, and will give its holders access to Lympo NFTs via different staking mechanisms. 125,000,000 LMT tokens will be offered to existing LYM token holders for 72 hours starting at 6 pm (UTC) on 19 March 2021. The only way to obtain LMT tokens during the offering is to exchange them with LYM tokens at a 1-LMT-to-8-LYM ratio. More information on the token offering can be found at www.lympo.io.
All participants in this 72-hour token offering will be granted the lifetime ability to mint unique and exclusive NFTs that will have additional utilities in the Lympo ecosystem.
The Lympo NFT ecosystem
The Lympo NFT ecosystem, which will be powered by LMT, will be developed in two stages. In the first digital collectibles stage, various NFTs of world-famous athletes, clubs, influencers, and enthusiasts will be issued according to a set plan defining the supply of various levels of NFTs ranging from more common to extra rare cards. In the second content and media development stage, various activities will be launched including games using LMT as the main utility token and in-game currency. These games will implement a Play-to-Earn model. Players will be able to utilize their Lympo digital sports collectible cards to create and upgrade their sports hero characters, and then form teams, play against other players, and win tournaments, earning rewards with real-world value.
